#5. She’s Gotta Have It
Based on Spike Lee’s 1986 film of the same name, “She’s Gotta Have It” focuses on a flourishing (and struggling) artist who sparks up flings with three different men at the same time. The show bursts with creativity and soul and passion, rendering itself as a spunky exploration of race, art, identity, sex, relationships, and of course Spike Lee’s favorite home of New York City. And even though it was unfortunately canceled after two seasons, the series has enough resilience and food for thought to keep the power alive.
