The 5th Annual Streamy Awards Nominations Announced!

With three hundred hours of footage uploaded to YouTube every minute, it's a brave new world of content and people are struggling to make sense of it all. Our show Short on Shorts, which finds the best online short films and web series' and reviews them, is one such effort. Another is The Streamy Awards, which is essentially the Oscars of Internet video. Yesterday, top online content creators Bart Baker, Flula and GloZell Green announced this year's Streamy nominations. The event will air September 17th on VH1.

Since this is all so new, the awards categories are still a bit underdeveloped, meaning there's a zillion of them. In any case, here they are:
