Shiri Appleby Directs Her Own Past Character on "Roswell, New Mexico"

"It's a lot of--finally break free, say what you want--and a lot of these characters...are finally saying what they want, being with who they want to be, and I think that's been pretty exciting."
Once playing the lead on the hit show Roswell, Shiri Appleby is now directing an episode for the show's sequel/reboot, Roswell, New Mexico. Directing someone else playing a character you portrayed? That's definitely surreal. But directing has been an interest of Appleby for some time. After directing episodes of shows in which she also acted, Appleby now has the opportunity to concentrate solely on the directing side.
