“Understanding” is a Kodak Moment, indeed.

Kodak’s moving new 35mm short film “Understanding” focuses on the relationship between a high school baseball player and his teammate, who is more than just your average teammate. After they’re caught having an intimate moment, the boy is consumed with fear, pressure, and anxiety about what his father might think.

Not to give too much away, but the three-minute story throws a heartwarming curveball of acceptance, family, and love that’s a hopeful and ideal revelation for many people going through the struggles of “coming out”.

Captured on the KODAK VISION3 500T 5219 roll, and directed by Terry Rayment, with Kate Arizemendi serving as cinematographer, the picture is beautifully filmed, and its subject matter impactful. It’s one of those great ads that places the story and its themes primarily, while gracefully incorporating the product.
